Talison Lithium Bulk Storage Facility Project

Tetra Tech Proteus (TTP) were awarded the contract to design a 55,000-metric ton Spodumene bulk storage facility for Talison Lithium Pty Ltd.

Challenges addressed by TTP included issues of the reclaimed land settling under high stockpile loads, which is caused by the narrowness of the land available for the project. Long-term settlement concerns were sufficiently addressed through a combination of a 7m-high retaining wall and offsetting the stockpile load.

Key features of the design include in- and out-loading circuits consisting of belt feeders, high-lift pocket belt and a tripper conveyor. All designs accommodate the use of front-end loaders and hoppers to directly feed material into the conveyor.

All plans were compliant with BCA and DEFS requirements.
