Fortescue Metals Group pilot plant relocation

Careful consideration of the status of plant equipment by Tetra Tech Proteus and our cost-effective detailed design enabled Fortescue’s dormant pilot plant to be returned to functioning condition and moved from Cloudbreak, Western Australia.

The plant is now successfully operating at Newman, at reduced tonnage, with only minor modifications to plant processes.

As some equipment had previously been salvaged for use in other areas of the plant, the project required Tetra Tech Proteus to first investigate the status of existing equipment before developing a detailed design for the contractor installing the pilot plant at Newman.
