Cape Lambert lump rescreening facility

The Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) by Tetra Tech Proteus for Rio Tinto’s lump rescreening facility was designed to handle 7,500 tonnes per hour and withstand cyclonic weather conditions. We also supplied procurement support and construction engineering assistance through to construction inspection of the facility at Cape Lambert.

The multi-disciplinary design incorporated two off 7.6m x 3.6m, vibrating banana screens with radial stacker and belt feeder for the Cape Lambert terminal that is managed as a single port although comprised of three terminals across two locations. All three terminals perform train uploading, product stockpiling and blending, and ship loading.
